Extensions and Alterations to a Grade II listed dwelling near Guildford, Surrey

The proposals comprised the demolition of two existing outbuildings which were located to the north west of the dwellinghouse. They were erected after 1948 and their appearance detracted from the setting of the listed building. The new extension and alterations were designed in liaison with the Historic Buildings Officer at Waverley Borough Council. The extension was designed in the form of a timber clad barn that is linked back to the main house through a new glazed walkway. The proposed building was designed to appear visually subservient to the historic part of the dwelling which dates back to the 17th Century.

Planning and Listed Building consent was received, and the project is currently on site.
